    The Bourbon bottles pictured below are our favorites at our price point – taste is the only factor. However, it was very difficult to narrow our list down to just 10 bottles, so if we missed your favorite drama, we are sorry. Obviously, these prices will vary from state to state and from store to store. Some of you may be lucky and hold off some expressions for less than what we have listed; Others may have to pay slightly more.

    Gym beam single barrel

    Whiskey:

    Jim Beam’s single barrel is the height of the brand’s skill in making accessible whiskey. Less than one percent of the barrel is best drawn from the juice beam, ensuring that the juice is the best. Those barrels are hand-picked by Beam’s Masters, who still hit the perfect Bourbon notes, tasting like a classic Jim Beam expression.

    Tasting notes:

    There is a real classic notion of bourbon on the nose with caramel popcorn, vanilla pod, and almost toasted oakness. The palate distributes on notes that add spicy / cherry tobacco with a hint of honey, cut with orange oils. The finish raised the Christmas spice levels while allowing the cherries and oak to shine on the slow end.

    Ground level:

    At this price, you can’t really beat it as a single barrel sipper, especially with some ice. We argue that it also makes for a great cocktail base, if you feel it is capable of you.

    Russell Reserve 10-Year

    ABV: 45%

    Average price: $ 42

    Whiskey:

    It is a true high water mark for wild turkey. The father and son team Jimmy and Eddie Russell run the mowed rows of their warehouse to find a ten-year-old barrel to create this finest expression. Hand-picked barrels are married and then whiskey is cut with soft Kentucky limestone water to bring it to a very pleasant 90 proof.

    Tasting notes:

    It is a quintessential bourbon.

    There is a nose that touches on rich caramel apples, vanilla pods, Christmas spices, and bunk oak. Oak picks up a notch with dark chocolate (especially when water is added) in the form of notes of orange chocolate, while they mingle with spices and apples almost chewing tobacco.     Whiskey:

    Angle’s jealousy for the sourcing barrels of whiskey found fame and gave him a unique keg finish. His signature expression is his small batched bourbon that ends in Port Peak. They take eight to 12 barrels and marry them before transferring the juice to the port casks for an additional rest of three to six months.

    Tasting notes:

    Bourbon-y notes of vanilla and caramel mingle with port-y notes of dried fruits and fatty nuts with a hint of maple syrup. This maple syrup forms the foundation, where bright red berries, nutella, more vanilla, and pops next to a hint of toast with a touch of sweet oak. Fatty walnuts are slowest with chocolate, fruit, and vanilla lasting the longest.

    Ground level:

    While it is positioned as a sipper, it makes one hell of a cocktail. Try it in your next Manhattan or Old Age.

    Wyoming Whiskey Small Batch Bourbon

    Wyoming Whiskey

    ABV: 44%

    Whiskey:

    This small town craft is making glass whiskey from some of the best grains on the distillery market. His signature Bourbon is a whipped bourbon that uses grains grown within 100 miles of the Wyoming Distillery. The juice is at least four years old before it is small-batch, which is certified local water and bottled water.

    Tasting notes:

    Vanilla and caramel on the nose are creamy to feel like a stiff pudding with a hint of wildflower. The palate rests on those flowers and puddings, while adding cedar sticks with cedar notes to warm them in cedar butter. This spice widens a Christmas spice vibe in the form of a delicious toffee sweetness and the mouthfill leads you to a finish that is just the right length.

    Ground level:

    It is actually a stellar sip of whiskey. Be sure to add a little water to really sparkle those flavors. Once you are familiar with the sip, start experimenting with your favorite cocktail.

    Old forester politician

    Brown form

    ABV: 47.5%

    Whiskey:

    Yes, it is technically a gimmick whiskey. The expression was issued as a tie-to Kingsman: The Golden Circle. But, this extraordinary bottle of whiskey doesn’t really matter. The barrels are hand-picked from the hottest corners of all warehouses and are small-batch to create a darker character and bold appearance.

    Tasting notes:

    Moist, dark chocolate cakes mix with cloves and oak nose with vanilla flourish. The flavor rests on the spice and is served in the Christmas spice zone, with a focus on worn leather and wooden cinnamon next to the butter toffee. A dry floral note comes late with a burst of orange that is creamy (almost like a sherbert) that comes with all the vanilla and toffee.

    Ground level:

    This is actually to sow slowly with a little water or ice. Some of those deep floral and creamy notes take a while to arrive, so don’t rush. When they pop, it becomes very difficult to put this whiskey down.

    Door of Heaven Tennessee Bourbon

    Whiskey:

    Bob Dillon’s Tennessee Bourbon is a very enjoyable and a (surprisingly) non-gimmick treat. Jus is a high-rye bourbon that lasts for eight years before he gets his hands on the Door Blender barrel of heaven. The whiskey is then mixed to highlight the classic bourbon notes.

    Tasting notes:

    The notes of vanilla almost sit with the sourness and bitterness of the rye bread. Sip coating in vanilla creates a creamy texture in the form of apricot and cherry mingle blows with a light brown spice. The finish is long and hits on that vanilla cream, all fruits and mild spices, while at the end you leave with charred oak with a final nod.

    Ground level:

    While it is fine as a sipper (a little water will reveal some powdered dark chocolate), it really shines best as a cocktail base.

    Beam Suntory

    ABV: 47%

    Whiskey:

    This bottle of Beam Suntory blends into Kentucky Bourbon, California wine and a bottle of Japanese whiskey. The Legent is a classic Kentucky bourbon made on the beam by Bowman legend Fred Noe that is both finished in French oak with red wine and Spanish sherry peaks. The juice is then blended by blending whiskey with Shinju Fukuyo.

    Tasting notes:

    Plummy pudding with Viennese berries, oaky spice and a hint of nuts mingle with a good dose of vanilla and toffee on the nose. The palate spreads over the spice with more choppy cinnamon and nutmeg dust while the oak is sweeter and the fruit dries up and becomes sweeter. The final is jammy-yet light with lots of fruit, spices, and a layer of oak on the senses.

    Ground level:

    It is designed as a workhorse whiskey. Sip it, mix with it, enjoy. [When we lead whiskey tastings, this is the one we serve first to offer a “baseline” of standard, enjoyable, sippable bourbon.]

    MITCHERS Small Batch Bourbon

    ABV: 45.7%

    Whiskey:

    Mitter actually has the phrase “small batch” here. The tank they use to marry their hand-picked eight-year-old bourbon can only hold 20 barrels, so that’s how much goes into each small-batch bottling. The mixed juice is then certified with Kentucky’s famous soft limestone water and bottled water.

    Tasting notes:

    Butter caramel and peaches mix with creamy vanilla and oak on the nose. The vanilla really shines as Peach almost takes on a grilled edge as it becomes sweeter and adds a can of smoke next to the paperm spice. Kills the spice and heats the senses as the slow faded stone embraces fruit, toffee, and more vanilla with a holy kick.

    Ground level:

    This is another whiskey made as a workhorse bourbon. And when we dig it as a sipper on the rocks, it really is a killer cocktail base for any whiskey cocktail.

    Bulleit Bourbon 10

    ABV: 45.6%

    Whiskey:

    It is a classic bulllet bourbon that is up to ten years old before being mixed and bottled. These barrels are chosen to really enhance and highlight the major flavors that made the Bulls accessible in the first place.

    Tasting notes:

    There’s a lot going on with butter and spicy stew apples, Christmas cakes filled with maple syrup, nuts and dried fruits, and a hint of savory herbs all through your olfactory. The palate gives a hint of buttermilk toffee, sour crust, more X-mas spice, cedar bark and dried rose with smooth and creamy vanilla. The finish is long, warming, and really embraces toffee and spice.

    Ground level:

In this case, this means the juice is a high-rye (35 percent) bourbon fermented with yeast that exposes the “delicate fruit” in the body of the whiskey. The bourbon is barely touched with water to bring it up to 100 proofs very drinkable.

    Tasting notes:

    Pears roasted in maple syrup and cinnamon sticks counter a very creamy vanilla base on the nose. The taste is on the roasted pear, while mixing the pulp of spiced tobacco with dates, plums, and walnuts. The sip is pure velvet as faded nourishment, plumage, stewed and spicy fruit, and slows the way down by rubbing along the way.

    Ground level:

    It is a killer single barrel expression, which can cost double. It is also quite inexpensive that you do not have to use this quality sipper as a solid cocktail base.
