The NYPD said they arrested two suspects behind a shocking shooting inside a barbershop in the Bronx last month.


Around 8:50 pm on Thursday night, 18-year-old Brandon Beltres of the Bronx was taken into custody. He was charged with attempt to murder, assault and negligent endangerment. A 17-year-old male was arrested on October 28. The identity of the suspect was not released.

Beltres and the other suspect were wearing masks when they shot the 22-year-old victim on October 22, as he sat in a shop chair on East Gun Hill Road in the Norwood section.

One of them took out a pistol and shot the victim, hit him in the stomach and sent the victim to the floor.

The gunman then handed the gun to the second suspect, who shot the victim in the leg while he was trying to get back on his feet.

A security video released by the NYPD shows chaos inside a barbershop as nearby barbers and customers scramble for cover as the shot played out.

The shooters then fled north towards King’s College Place.

No one else was hurt in the shooting. The EMS took the victim to Jacobi Medical Center in a stable condition.
