Two federal election candidates of the NDP have resigned following comments on social media.
The party confirmed Cumberland–Colchester candidate Dan Osborne and Toronto–St. candidate Sidney Coles. Paul, ended his campaigns and “agreed to further educate himself about anti-Semitism.”
NDP spokesman George Soule says the New Democrats are united against all forms of discrimination and are committed to taking meaningful steps toward ending prejudice.

Coles, who has since deleted his Twitter account, was reported to have misinformed that Israel was linked to missing COVID-19 vaccines.
NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, during a campaign on Tuesday, denounced those positions but did not demand his resignation.
Osborne was reported to have tweeted to Oprah in 2019 asking if Auschwitz was a real place.
