A new book about Fat White Family is one the way

There’s a new book coming out about the Fat White Family.

Publisher White Rabbit Books announced the news yesterday (September 17), saying: “Ten thousand apologies to @FatWhiteFamily and @adellestripe and Lias Saudi announced the miracle of failure.”

The publishers described it as “the sordid and thrilling tale of the country’s most infamous cult band”. Not for the faint hearted.”


The book will come out in February 2022.

Back in May, Fat White Family frontman Lias Soudi said he was working on a book about sex therapy.

The musician talks in conversation with fellow musician, friend and collaborator Raf Rundel GranthshalaFriends Like This series, where they discussed their upcoming projects.

“I am currently working on a deadline for a piece of writing. I have ventured into the literary field,” Saudi told Rundel.


“Basically over the past ten years, it was no accident, it was deliberately lowering the bar, lowering expectations to chronic levels of despair, and yet the average few paragraphs would seem a bit impressive.”

Asked about the nature of the book being written in collaboration with another author, Saudi said, “It’s about sex therapy.”

He continued: “It’s part manual, part confessional, but that’s all I can say about it now. It’s a handbook. A handbook confessional!”

Earlier this month, the Fat White Family returned to London’s The Lexington for a live performance with a socially-distancing show, a gig Granthshala Described as “arguably the best-behaved fat blondes gig in history.”
