new one Lord of the Rings Anime film is on the way for New Line and Warner Bros.

production alone is called The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirim, and will focus on the history behind the fort at Helm Deep, which is explored in the two towers.
According to empire, the film aims to “somehow” link the two trilogy of Peter Jackson, with Philip Boynes, who served as a consultant on set for both.
It is being fast-tracked for release, “with production and voice casting”.
Speaking about the new anime production, Carolyn Blackwood of Warner Bros. and Richard Brenner of New Line issued a joint statement saying: “All of us at New Line feel a deep affinity for the extraordinary world created by JRR Tolkien. , so the opportunity to dive back into Middle-earth with the team at Warner Bros. Animation is like a dream come true.
“Fans know Helms Deep as the stage of one of the greatest battles of all time, involving many creative visionaries and the brilliant Kenji Kamiyama at the helm, we couldn’t be more excited to deliver a new vision. Its history that will invite global audiences to experience the rich, complex saga of Middle-earth in an exciting new way.”
Warner Bros. Animation President Sam Register said: “This will be another epic depiction of JRR Tolkien’s world that has never been told before.
“We are honored to partner with the incredible talent behind both film trilogies with new creative publishers to tell this story…and so it begins.”
The film is directed by Kenji Kamiyama and the screenplay is written by Jeffrey Addis and Will Matthews.
The project is completely different from Amazon’s new Lord of the Rings The television series, which according to reports so far, has cost £336million ($465million) to make in just one season.
The show, which has already been renewed for a second season before the first season aired, is expected to air a season later this year, though no release date has been confirmed yet.
