During yesterday’s episode of the Channel 4 show Jasmine Herman on House Hunters’ “Tough Questions” a spot got frustrated.
The 45-year-old property specialist was on a mission to help John and Catherine of Yorkshire find their dream home in France’s Loire Valley.
The pair had a budget of £100,000 and told Jasmine they hoped to convert their house into a B&B.
He also clarified that he should have enough space for his four dogs as well.
All seemed fine after visiting the first property, a two-bed house in Anjouin, valued at £83,086.
The pair clarified that they were big fans.
But the next property, a five-bed house in St Plantaire, which costs £90,081, just wasn’t what they wanted.
To make matters worse, the third, which was a three-bed house in Chalak, was over his budget, costing £107,909.
Jasmine was positive to visit the fourth property as it had great potential to turn into a B&B business.
However the three-bed house in cueillé, which costs £103,604, didn’t quite tick all its boxes.
As he looked around the property, John asked if Catherine was vibrating with space and he said she was not.
The experts were excited to find out what they thought and it wasn’t what she wanted to hear.
Katherine told him: “The house looks lovely … as our house it could be perfect.”
John said: “But the problem is that the commercial potential is not for us!”
Jasmine had to explain that she might have to increase her budget a bit to get something.
She added: “It’s a tough question with this budget.”
The pair agreed that they needed to look for something more expensive.
Luckily the fifth and final location – a two-bed house in Lignac – was just what they wanted.
Although it was over the budget of £116,000, Jasmine insisted it was just right for her.
And the hefty asking price certainly didn’t put them off.
They were so pleased with his choice that they offered £105,000 and the owner accepted his offer.
Spaces to air on Channel 4 at 3 pm on weekdays.
