Property Manager Laura and Chef Nick liked the first property, but it wasn’t perfect.

Although he liked the surrounding area of Jean’s second choice, the apartment didn’t tick all his boxes.

Nick wasn’t a fan of the kitchen of the £168,000 town house, which was recently renovated.

He added: “For me, I think it’s a little too compact and there’s not enough space.

“It’s just a bit of a clinical experience.”

Jean replied: “Well, you’re a cook and you want your kitchen to be inviting because this is where you do the magic, right?”

He called the space “claustrophobic” and said it was not for him.

After seeing them Nick realized that the town house was “too stylish and trendy” for him.

The pair said they wanted a “new” and “modern” home, so Jean asked if they had changed their mind.

Nick said: “Now that I have seen a house according to this standard, I realize that it is still complete.

“So maybe we need a place where we can put our individuality instead of a place that is completely already there.”

Although they were fans of the first property, the happy couple ended up going for the fifth and final one.

He offered £160,000, which was declined, and after some negotiation he eventually sealed the deal with £170,000.
