Aaron Rodgers wonders why everyone who hates Buck; Bill Maher, hearing about the concept for the first time, didn’t even understand it.

rogers Appeared on Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, The Packers quarterback rebuked the leadership in his native California, saying the state was going “s-t” and there was some sports media talk.

“Some are good and some are not so good,” Rodgers said of NFL announcers. “I loved [Troy] Aikman and Buck.”

Maher said: “I love Joe Buck. I think he’s fantastic.”

Rodgers responded about the vitriol that Buck receives from many fans.

“Many people hate him!” he wondered.

Maher was stunned: “hate Him? Why? What’s the hate?”

Both Rodgers and Maher claimed to be big fans of Buck. Both of them also greatly admired Aikman.

“Now they’re both on ESPN,” Rodgers said, after moving away from Fox more than two decades later. “ESPN finally has a good crew.”

Maher was still concerned about fans disliking Buck. “Why do people hate Joe Buck?” He asked again.

“I don’t know,” replied Rodgers.

Maher continued: “That’s what America is right now. We are so full of hatred that they hate people too, there is nothing to hate. I understand why people hate me. I am controversial. I say a million things.”

“That’s why they hate me too! If you’re controversial, they hate you,” Rodgers interjected.

“Okay, so I understand why they hate us,” Maher said. “But why hate Joe Buck?”
