A Better ABK member Jessica Gonzalez wrote in her letter:

“Hello ABK, unfortunately, this is a goodbye message. It has been a journey over the years, and I have decided to leave Blizzard by putting my own well-being first”.

She then announced that she would join a fintech company, and would leave game development entirely.

“There are good people in the industry, and I believe that with enough education and awareness, ABK can be a great place to be. There is still a lot of work to be done and I am mentally injured by this fight.”

She ends her letter by personally targeting Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick:

“To @bkotick: Your inaction and refusal to take accountability is draining great talent and will damage products unless you are fired from the position of CEO. It may sound harsh, but it’s a good idea to fix the culture. And you’ve had years to see where the company currently stands.

The company is currently facing a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and another filed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Recently, the heads of Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox have told their employees that they are evaluating their relationship with Activision Blizzard following these allegations. Xbox’s Phil Spencer said the company is “evaluating all aspects” of its relationship with Activision Blizzard.

In other news, Bethesda is finally taking the wraps off its mysterious new project starfield looks at the making of sci-fi games with the first of what promises to be a behind the scenes series, while Guild Wars 2 is running a beta for its next expansion, allowing players to test-drive the giant Battle Turtles.
