Adam Peaty has revealed he’s ‘still used to’ working with Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones.
The 26-year-old Olympic swimmer explained in a new interview: ‘As a solo athlete, I’m still getting used to having a partner and it’s been a very eye-opening experience.’
It came as Adam penned a stern message to speculators about his ‘close kiss’ with 32-year-old Katya on Strictly on Saturday, writing on Twitter: ‘Everyone who wants to see what they want, your Comments have real consequences. I will not be disappointed by your gossip.’

Speaking in the new issue of Hello! Magazine, Adam also said that swim training is ‘very exhausting’, but if the song is right then Strictly Rehearsal could be ‘the most amazing 10 hours you’ve ever spent’.
After finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard last week, Adam made a comeback on Saturday night as the first Argentine Tango of the series put him in joint second after scoring 32.
PT tells Hello!: ‘I’ve been swimming for almost 17 years and I’m glad I got the challenge.
‘I’ve learned a lot about my body and my mental state from dance. It is very energetic and positive.

The three-time Olympic champion, who specializes in the breaststroke, signed up for the show after her heroics in Tokyo over the summer.
He continued: ‘It’s nice to show people that I’m not just a swimmer and can be versatile and do something else.’
This is the sixth year that Jones has competed on the show as a professional dancer, and last year she partnered with Olympic gold medalist boxer Nicola Adams in Strictly’s first female same-sex couple.

“I like to sit down with a few other people on Friday nights, have a glass of wine and talk about what they do at work and what I do at work,” he said.
‘They are a great group of people and we all want each other to do well.’
On Saturday, fans of the BBC show were sent wild as they were convinced that Adam and Katya had ‘nearly kissed’ at the end of their racy Argentine tango.
But on Sunday the Olympic swimmer took to Twitter to issue words of warning to those who ‘gossip’ about the intense routine.
