Adele says she played her new album to Drake to get his reaction

Adele has revealed that she has already played her upcoming new album 30′ for Drake to take over the record.

The singer is preparing to release her new LP, which will be released on November 19 through Columbia Records for the first time since 2015’s 25′.

talking to Rajdhani FM Last Friday (October 15) to mark the arrival of her new single “Easy on Me,” Adele revealed that Drake heard “30” last year.


“I played it for Drake last year when he was in town,” she said. “I was like, ‘Do you think this is what people want, or don’t want?’. And they said, ‘Exactly.

Adele clarified that she “didn’t like” various people around “30” like, ‘Can I get your thoughts on this?

“It’s always been how [the album] Makes me feel,” she said. “Quality control is my strength. I can write a song about my own experiences in life and things like that. People definitely aren’t waiting for a club banger from me.

“I feel like I’ll give people what they were missing while I was away.”


Adele broke the existing Spotify record for most streams in a single day with “Easy on Me” last week, surpassing the track BTS “Butter” (which accumulated 20.9 million streams on release day).

Speaking to BBC Radio 1 last week, Adele spoke about her future in the music industry and said she doesn’t intend to make music “forever”.
