Adele has spoken about her disappointment upon reading comments made by women about her remarkable 100lb weight loss.
However, she admitted that the downside of this was hearing other women make ‘brutal comments’ on her changing appearance.

She told American Vogue, ‘My body has been objectified throughout my career. ‘It’s not yet. I understand why this is a shock. I understand why some women in particular got hurt.’
She continued: ‘Blindly I represented a lot of women. But I’m still the same person,’ adding that the worst part was: ‘My body was being talked about by other women in the most cruel conversations. I was very disappointed by this *****G. This hurt my feelings.
Describing her incredible weight loss over a period of two years, she said: ‘It was because of my anxiety. Working out, I’ll just feel better.

Adele has been doing rigorous weightlifting and circuit-training sessions every day — twice a day if her anxiety is running high — for three years and counting.
While it is not clear which comments she was referring to, the star has created a buzz with her recent posts on social media.
In May 2020, Adele became the number one trending topic on Twitter for sharing a picture of herself on Instagram where she looked incredibly different.
Many fans took to social media to react to the photos – some said they ‘missed’ older Adele, and others criticized her weight loss.

Nevertheless, Adele has insisted that she is ‘still the same person’.
The American Vogue feature begins with interviewers attending the star’s Monday morning workout at a private gym in West Hollywood.
The author notes that the British star has been doing ‘hard lifting and circuit-training sessions every day – twice a day if her anxiety is running high -‘ for three years.

Adele said: ‘I realized when I was working out, I didn’t have any worries. It was never about losing weight. I thought, if I can make my body physically strong, and I can feel and see it, maybe one day I can make my emotions and my mind physically strong.’
‘I have a bad back and I had a C-section. So I didn’t have anything going on there,’ she said.
Her trainer, Miley, also confirmed that the goal was not weight loss, saying: ‘It was getting stronger physically and mentally. She really turned to movement, and strength training in particular. It became so active that he started doing double sessions.
