Mushfiqur Rahim has been an integral part of the Bangladesh cricket team since 2006. He Has won several games for his nation and also served as the captain of the team. However, the IPL franchise has not shown any interest in the Bangladeshi wicketkeeper batsman.
Mushfiqur Rahim has registered his name in the auction since 2008, with hopes of securing an IPL contract. However, the franchise never raised any obstacles for the player. This year, Rahim has decided against registering himself for the upcoming mini-auction.
Speaking to New Age on Saturday, NIBCO, which handles the company Mushfiqur Rahim’s account, confirmed that the Bangladesh wicketkeeper would not be part of the IPL 2021 auction.
“We have not submitted any money for Mushfiqur Rahim for IPL this time,” said a NIBCO official.

1,100 of Bangladesh’s five cricketers have registered for the IPL 2021 auction. Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Soumya Sarkar, Linton Das and Mahmudullah are Bangladeshi names in the list. Of these five names, only Al Hasan and Rehman have played in the IPL before.
Mushfiqur Rahim is a veteran of T20 matches
Talking about his numbers in the domestic T20, Mushfiqur Rahim has scored 4,288 runs in 202 T20s. He Battered in 187 innings, recording 25 half-centuries. While Rahim has been a big name in the Bangladeshi T20 tournament, only one foreign league team has signed him.
He was offered a PSL contract in 2016 by the Karachi Kings. However, that season proved to be Rahim’s only PSL tournament.
