Beach House has confirmed that they will release a new album in 2022.

The Baltimore duo – consisting of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scali – last released a full-length record in 2018. ‘7’.

During a recent interview KINK.FM, the group was asked if they planned to get back on the road after the coronavirus pandemic. (His last show was in 2019. According to


“There are going to be announcements very soon,” replied Scali, “and … yes.” Legrand interjected: “We look forward to touring again.”

Scali continued: “I bet you’ve talked to the band… It’s crazy for next year. There’s a lot to figure out.”

Beach House was then asked if he took up any lockdown hobbies, to which the guitarist replied: “I personally, no. I am just working on the record that we are going to present next year.”

After explaining that he “found a lot of solace in nature” during the pandemic, Legrand leapt: “Oh yeah, that too. ‘Cause I’m in the band too.

While fans await further updates, Beach House is already scheduled to perform at next summer’s Primavera Sound in Barcelona – possibly with new material in tow. They appear on a stellar line-up alongside the likes of The Strokes, Tame Impala and Lorde.

The Beach House will take the stage on the first of two Primavera weekends in June 2022.

Earlier this year, the duo provided the soundtrack for a new short film titled Marin’s dreams.
