Biden replied, “My message is two years later, you’re back, America’s back, there’s nothing we’ve been unable to overcome, Al. And you’re one of the reasons for that. You’re always up.” And move on.”
The iconic parade returned to its pre-pandemic form on Thursday after being revamped last year and enthralling the audience.
“Thank you very much,” Roker said to the president. “Santa is coming.”
“I’m waiting for Santa,” Biden replied.
The Bidens are spending their Thanksgiving holiday at a private equity billionaire’s compound in Nantucket, Massachusetts, prompting Republicans to put them out of touch this week as inflation hits a three-decade high.
This Year’s Classic Thanksgiving Feast has jumped More than 14% from last year’s average, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual Thanksgiving dinner cost survey, This is in large part because a turkey costs about 24% more than it did last year. According to the Labor Department data, the price of chicken breast has increased by 26 percent in the last one year.
The industry has mainly attributed the rise in prices to supply chain disruptions and high demand for food, especially meat.
That, in addition to the highest gas prices the US has set in seven years, has made this year the most expensive Thanksgiving in the nation’s history.
