Bill Gates denies report he was ordered to stop emailing Microsoft worker

According to reports, Bill Gates was asked to stop emailing a mid-level female Microsoft employee in 2008 after top executives told him that her behavior was inappropriate.

NS wall street journal reported that the then-married Mr. Gates was ‘flirting’ and proposed to the employee in a newly discovered email.

A Microsoft spokesman, Frank Shaw, told the WSJ that the email was discovered by the company in 2008, just before Mr. Gates retired, and sent the previous year.


“While flirting, they were not openly sexual, but were considered inappropriate,” said Mr. Shaw, who said Mr. Gates had proposed to meet the female worker away from the office.

Mr Gates spokesman Brigitte Arnold said WSJ A written statement claimed that “false, recycled rumors are from sources with no direct knowledge, and in some cases significant conflicts of interest.”

Mr Gates finalized his divorce from his wife of 27 years, Melinda French Gates, in August after he admitted to having an affair with a former Microsoft employee.

He has spoken about his “sorry” over his meetings with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

In May, it was revealed that Microsoft had investigated Mr. Gates’ relationship with a different female employee 20 years earlier.
