Blossom and Rick Astley have announced that they will team up for a pair of shows that celebrate Smith’s songs.

At London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum last night (13 September), Blossom surprised fans during the first three nights when she invited Astley on stage to run through her selection of Smith’s covers.
At shows at Manchester’s Albert Hall on 8 October and London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on 9 October, Blossom will become Astley’s backing band for a full set of his and fans’ favorite Smith songs.
“Smiths has always meant a lot to Blossom, with even her rainiest songs complete with witty humor and soul-reaching melody and music,” Blossom said in a statement. “His popular moments are pure, joyous, danceable poetry.
