Chris Eubanks JR is really heating up Newcastle – and proved it by signing a microwave.
The 32-year-old British middleweight will take on Vanik Avdijan in the city this Saturday night.
And after attending a press conference in St James’s Park on Thursday, he took a tour of the city in the evening.
But after pausing for multiple selfies and awkward autographs, one lucky guy walked up to her with a kitchen appliance—not George Foreman—and oddly requested a signature.
The Geordie man in a black jacket and black hat provided Sharpie Penn ready and deadpan, saying: “It’s the only thing I’ve got.”
Eubanks Jr. couldn’t believe his eyes, perhaps something hot was under the collar.
Initially, he said: “No, not a microwave!”
But then the Sussex scrapper handed over his bag, kept cool as a cucumber and put the pen in – err – plastic.

The amazed spectators were also in disbelief.
Someone can be heard shouting: “A microwave? What’s the matter?”
Another added: “I can’t believe I see this.”
Another supporter got Boxer to sign his hand and others posed for photos, while the microwave man with the microwave proudly walked forward with his unique cooker.
Eubanks Jr. returned to the ring this weekend after his comeback fight was dramatically canceled after Anatoly Muratov withdrew on medical grounds.
Instead, Britain will feel the heat as he steps into the ring with 26-year-old Avdijan, who has only boxed in Germany and Austria.
30-year-old Savannah Marshall, who defends her WBO middleweight title against undefeated challenger Lolita Muzeya, 30, has been making headlines at night.
Also on the bill is the heavyweight, 27-year-old Hughie Fury, up against 34-year-old Christian Hammer, who was beaten by his cousin Tyson in 2015.
Eubanks Jr. has now joined Undercard as of late, but will get a chance to return before a promised pay-per-view blockbuster in December.
