A 13-year-old boy is stabbed to death on a residential street – just as police begin a search for the knife-killer.
Police were called to a school in Ilford, east London, at around 6.30 pm yesterday following reports of a boy being injured.
Officers and ambulance workers found that the young man had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital, his condition described as non-life-threatening.
No arrests have been made but the weather police have appealed for information.
A Metropolitan Police statement said: “Police were called on Wednesday, October 20 at 6.26 p.m. to a report of injuries to a teenage boy at Charter Avenue, Ilford.
“The officers parted with the London Ambulance Service.
“A 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with a stab wound.
“His condition is not considered life-threatening.
“Inquiry is on under the circumstances. No arrest has been made in this initial phase of the investigation.”
