A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an Afghan refugee was stabbed to death in a London park.
Hazrat Wali, 18, of Notting Hill, west London, died in hospital after an attack on a playground in Twickenham on Tuesday.
The Metropolitan Police said Thursday afternoon that a 16-year-old boy had been arrested in connection with his death.
He has been in custody at a police station in south London since being arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police were called at 4.45pm on 12 October to reports of a stabbing at a playground in Cranford Way, Twickenham.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and found the victim stabbed.
He was taken to the hospital, but was declared brought dead at 5.45 pm. Police said his family continues to be supported by specially trained officers.
A post-mortem is scheduled to take place at Kingston Mortuary on Friday.
