Bryan Adams tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival at Milan’s Malpensa airport on Thursday, photographed ahead of the 2022 Pirelli calendar unveiling.

Canadian Rock ‘n Roller revealed the positive test in an Instagram post that included a photo of him in a room after the test and then sitting in an ambulance, being taken for a more reliable PCR test. He was sitting normally wearing a surgical mask.

“I’m here, just arrived in Milano, and I’ve tested positive for COVID for the second time in a month,” Adams said in the post. “So it’s off to the hospital for me.” He thanked the fans for their support.

Adams, 62, first tested positive in late October, and showed no symptoms.

Adams, who also enjoys a career as a photographer, has shot the 2022 Pirelli calendar, after initially busy shooting for the 2021 edition, which was canceled due to the pandemic. Adams was expected to appear at in-person press events promoting the calendar on Sunday and Monday, but was now uncertain.
