K-pop powerhouse BTS has raised US$3.6 million through its ‘Love Myself’ campaign in collaboration with UNICEF.

On 6 October, UNICEF announced through a press release That agency’s joint campaign with the seven-member boyband has raised approximately US$3.6 million since its debut in November 2017. The ‘Love Myself’ campaign is an anti-bullying movement that promotes self-love among children and youth globally.
BTS and UNICEF promoted the ‘Love Myself’ campaign primarily through social media, along with the boy band’s ‘Love Yourself’ world tour which ran from 2018–2019. So far, the campaign has generated nearly five million tweets and over 50 million likes, retweets, replies and comments on Twitter.
“When it comes to boosting self-esteem and improving mental well-being, one of the most important things you can do is start a conversation,” said UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore. “The unprecedented way in which BTS has helped spark a positive message with their ARMY is simply unmatched and incredibly priceless.”
Meanwhile, BTS said they “hope that the ‘Love Myself’ message can continue to work to energize everyone’s lives”. He continued: “We hope to keep doing what we are doing and to give voice to what we are doing, so that we can help people find happiness and love.”
