Sims’ mother told KABC that her daughter has had mental health issues since the pandemic.
“His family is concerned for his well-being and is asking the public for help,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
Sims, nicknamed “Cookie,” has nearly 216,000 followers on her personal Instagram account, where she hasn’t posted since July 1.
The missing woman has three tattoos. According to the sheriff’s department, one on his left collarbone reads, “It is found in the Spirit,” and the other on his left forearm says, “Earth.”
On his back, Sims has a tattoo in Spanish writing.
Photos from her Instagram account show Sims with green hair, but officials said she was last seen with shoulder-length black hair.
