The ultramodern city-state of Singapore has risen to level 4 from the agency’s highest risk category, level 3, or “high” risk for Covid-19.

This news comes on the heels of a recent decision of singapore to further loosen restrictions and add eight new countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States vaccination travel lane program. Fully vaccinated people arriving from those countries can apply for quarantine-free entry.

According to CDC criteria, destinations in the “Covid-19 Very High” level 4 category have had more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days.

The CDC recommends that people avoid traveling to places designated with a Level 4 notice. Anyone who must travel should be fully vaccinated first, the agency advises.
This latest update is far from the beginning of August, when CDC adds 16 destinations Up to level 4 in a week, and delta-type cases were rising rapidly across much of the planet. This is the first week since the beginning of August that only one nation has been added to Level 4.

• Ireland
• Malaysia
• Switzerland
• Turkey
• United Kingdom

In the case of the UK, it has been recorded at Level 4 since 19 July, and Greece has been there since 2 August.

• Angola
• Djibouti

“Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread Covid-19,” the agency said. However, international travel carries additional risks, and even fully vaccinated travelers may be at increased risk of acquiring and possibly spreading certain Covid-19 variants,” the agency said.
