His new parody podcast makes fun of Walk Culture
Chris Lilly is reviving his character Ja’mie King for a new podcast.
Australian comedian has just launched an audio series Ja’mieizng To poke fun at the awakened culture, following concerns raised by Netflix over Lily’s portrayal of race in the show.
Last year, four series were removed from the streaming platform, including we can be Heroes In which Jamie King’s character was introduced for the first time.
Summer height, anger The boys And Tonga to Jonah The use of blackface and criticism of his portrayal of non-white characters was also drawn from Netflix.
First episode of Ja’miezing Is released today (April 7), and sees Lily in character as Jamie states that she is now at university and created the podcast as part of her public relations degree as an assignment.
