“This is going to be epic”
Chris Pratt has shared a tongue-in-cheek teaser of his upcoming animated Super Mario Movies.
The actor took to social media to share the clip, which has been lifted straight from his Marvel debut Guardians of the Galaxy.

The video shows Pratt’s Star Lord with Mario’s famous moustache and hat, with the Nintendo character’s voice superimposed on top of an emotionally horrifying scene.
“Amazing First Look” Super Mario Bros. This is going to be epic,” wrote Pratt next to the clip.
Pratt was announced as the voice of Mario in the upcoming adaptation in September. He joins a star-studded voice cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.
However, the casting announcement received some backlash on social media due to the pointed departure from the game’s voice cast.
“Chris Pratt as Mario was a decision made in a board room of a Hollywood exec who has never touched a video game and exactly two robots,” tweeted Journalist Lucy O’Brien.
Another fan tweeted his concern with Chris Martinet, who voices Mario, Luigi, Wario and other characters. Super Mario The world, from the early 1990s, would only appear in the film as a cameo.
