Christine and the Queens released the ‘La Vita Nuova’ EP last February. Reviewing the record upon its release, Granthshala wrote: “Christine and the Queens has consistently proven she has a gift for putting emotional weight into a pot of perverted, left-field pop.
“Ideologically speaking, ‘La Vita Nuova’ is an astonishing feat—but even better, it also gives off an intensity of feeling that punches right in the stomach.”
Since then, the singer has shared a remixed EP of ‘La Vita Nuova’, with AG Cook, Populous and Logic1000 taking new versions of the EP’s title track, a collaboration with Carolyn Polachek.
Christine also shared a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘I’m on Fire,’ which she says is “one of my favorite songs,” and collaborated with Indochine for ‘3SEX,’ Which is a resale of Indochine’s French New Wave cut ‘3e sexe’. ‘.
Looking ahead, fans of Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens believe the three singers are working on an upcoming track together.
Charlie has worked separately with both Polachek and Christine in the past, and a new Instagram post from Charlie has fans speculating about a three-way collaboration in the near future.
