Coldplay add fifth and sixth Wembley Stadium shows to 2022 world tour

Coldplay has added two more Wembley Stadium shows to their massive 2022 world tour – they will now play six nights at the London venue.

Last week (14 October) Coldplay announced the details of their 2022 World Stadium tour, with an emphasis on environmental sustainability.

Tomorrow (October 21), a fourth London show was added to the tour with a new date in Paris. Then, when tickets went on general sale this morning (22 October), all four of Wembley’s dates were sold out.

As such, the band has now confirmed that they will also play at the venue on 17 and 20 August next year.

Following the tour’s announcement, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) urged the band to serve only vegetarian food at the show in order to further reduce the carbon footprint of the tour.

“As you know, animal agriculture contributes to many serious environmental problems facing the planet,” wrote PETA director Alyssa Allen.
