Conor McGregor has been accused of punching a famous Italian DJ in the face and leaving him with a bloody lip and nose in front of his terrible wife.
Police were called after UFC legend Francesco Facinetti was allegedly involved in a scuffle while the two attended an event at the St. Regis Hotel in Rome.
McGregor, 33, and his partner De Devlin have been in Italy for the past few days for the Vatican’s christening of their youngest child, Ryan.
However the journey ended on a low note as Facinetti, 41, and his wife Wilma Faisol, 39, both took to Instagram to blame their nearly 1.5 million combined followers.
Facchinetti posted a video narrating the incident and showed cuts on both his lips.
Wilma also shared a series of Instagram stories accusing the fighter of assaulting her husband, saying she feared Notorious might kill her.
It is not clear what led to the alleged scuffle.
SunSport has contacted McGregor’s team for comment on the alleged clash.
Italian police confirmed that they were called to the scene at 5.30 am after the incident took place.
McGregor hasn’t been spoken to by police, but he “could be in the coming days” as the DJ plans to file a formal complaint in his home city of Milan.
Facchinetti, who is also a TV and radio personality in Italy, told his one million followers on Instagram: “I could be silent but someone like him who pulls a punch thinks what could happen.”
He said that “real fighters don’t behave like that” and accused the Irish MMA star of punching “for no reason”.
The DJ continued: “We welcomed him as a hero and instead he’s just the worst kind of bully… what a disappointment… I’m sorry for him, he has everything but him.” There’s nothing …
“She must be stopped because she is dangerous to others. Now I understand why she had 20 bodyguards. Not to protect her from others, but to save others from her.”
Also on Instagram, Wilma posted to her more than 477,000 followers accusing McGregor.
“He could have killed her, he broke her lip and nose,” she said.
Wilma claimed that McGregor’s bodyguards had to hold back the fighter because he “wanted to kill Francis”.
She said the UFC fighter’s team hunched her for a blood cleanse, before the couple was asked to leave through the side door of the hotel.
“I was crying, I was trembling, we called the police and an ambulance,” Wilma said.
McGregor had previously gotten into trouble for punching a man at The Marble Arch pub in Dublin in August 2019.
The UFC reportedly hit 50-year-old Desmond Keogh after the old man refused to drink a shot of whiskey.
Notorious was convicted of assault and ordered to pay a fine of £860 – and then £1.75 million was later spent to buy the pub.
McGregor is still recovering from the brutal broken leg he suffered in his first-round loss to Dustin Poirier.
The UFC’s first two-weight world champion shattered his left tibia and fibula during a bout – but has vowed to return to end his career on “his terms”.
SunSport previously revealed that McGregor is expected to return to the Octagon “before schedule” as he is already back at the gym.
