Conservative radio host Dennis Prager announced on his show on Monday that he tested positive for the coronavirus infection last week and claimed to have caught it with the aim of developing natural immunity.

“I’m broadcasting from my home because I’m not going to the station because I have covid,” he said The Dennis Prager Show. “My test came positive last week and I am improving continuously.”

He said it was something he had “expected the whole time” as he preferred to “have natural immunity than vaccine immunity”.

“Therefore, I have engaged with strangers, hugged them constantly, took pictures with them, knowing that I am making myself susceptible to Covid,” he said.

Mr Praeger said “at no time” he was “at risk of hospitalization” and credited his recovery to taking drugs such as hydroxychloroquine. According to the WHO, hydroxychloroquine has “no meaningful effect” in preventing the spread of the coronavirus.

“I have done what a person should do if someone is not getting vaccinated,” Mr Prager said as he advocated for getting the Covid-19 jab.

His Covid test came days after Colorado Governor Heidi Ganahal attended a campaign event for the Republican nominee.

Ms. Ganahal’s campaign team said they were not aware of Mr. Prager’s plan to intentionally transition. “The campaign didn’t know Dennis had contracted Covid until the announcement of his show,” he told 9news.

He said that he would reach out to all those attending the event and advise them to get tested for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, many internet users slammed Prager for his ignorance.

One user wrote, ‘The amount of misinformation filled in this one video is really shocking.

“It really is as bizarre as it sounds. It is clear to Americans that [Covid] Not a scam but that you are a stupid person spreading virus and ignorance,” wrote another user.
