Coronation Street fans have got the same complaint about Abi Franklin’s horrific confrontation with Corey Brent — they couldn’t tell what anyone was saying.

The grieving mother confronted her son’s killer in a tense standoff last night, but with rain and noise, fans said she needed subtitles to know what was going on.

One wrote: “Can anyone understand a word from Abi who had to get subtitles on #Corrie”

A second said: “Really disappointed with #Corrie so far this week. The sound dubbing has been so bad I had to put up subtitles. The set sounds cheap and rain machine bashing distracts from how unrealistic getting wet is. “

Another added: “WTF was AB saying? #corey urghh! Wahhh gurghhhh aaaaa *sobbing* brughhh bluuuuu warghhhh etc. Subtitles for part two.”

Meanwhile, fans also fear for Leanne Battersby after Harvey Gaskell is swallowed by a sinkhole.

The bistro manager – played by actress Jane Danson in the ITV soap – is taken prisoner tonight by the evil Harvey as he begins his revenge plan for being thrown in prison.

He tries to force her to call his sister Toiah and son Simon to the bistro so that he can kill them all, but his plan fails.

And when the power fails Leanne runs to her – all with her hands tied behind her back and her mouth taped.

Holding her outside, he said to her: “I hate rain, you know? When you live in Manchester isn’t the norm?”

He said: “We could have done it in, decent, but oh no – you wanted to be here in the rain.

“So here we are. At least this will wash away your blood and make it clean.”

Lynn fled into the night, but was so tied up and tied up that she couldn’t get away.

Putting her aside, Harvey said: “It’s over. I’ve waited a long time for what you did to me.”

But as he went to hit him with the wrench, the ground changed course and he fell into the collapsed sewer.

Leanne stood in shock, finally safe, as Harvey was washed away.

However later when emergency services went to rescue Jenny Connor – Lynne heard and realized that Harvey had survived.

The onlookers then watched him wash at the end of a sewer pipe.

And he wasn’t alone—the gun Abi had bought to kill Corey was washed away with him.

He picked her up and prepared herself to return to Weatherfield.

And fans fear that Leanne will be killed.

One wrote: “Of course Harvey ends up with the gun. Man must buy himself a lottery ticket.”

A second said: “Havey is coming out of the drain like the Shawshank Redemption!”

Another added: “That Corey has nine lives!”
