New York – Police in New York were searching for a man who attacked an 11-year-old girl who was at a Manhattan dog park at lunch with her classmates.
The NYPD says it happened around noon Wednesday at Perlman Place and Stuyvesant Square at E.16. scheduled tribe.
The girl was in the park with her classmates when the man came to her and started yelling at her and her classmates. Then he started sprinkling water on her and tried to attack her.
When the girl attempted to fight back, he grabbed her hair and punched the left side of her face. He wrapped his hands around her neck and applied pressure.

Another classmate in the park, a 15-year-old boy, tried to intervene after seeing the girl being assaulted. The attacker then hit him and then fled.
EMS took the girl to Mount Sinai Beth Israel in stable condition. The 15-year-old male suffered minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene.
The NYPD released photos of the suspect. He is described as light-skinned, aged around 25–35 years, with facial hair and shoulder-length blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, black pants, black sneakers and sunglasses.
