Two incidents follow the robbery of an Ulta Beauty store in the northwestern suburb of Norridge last week
Chicago’s historic crime wave appears to be creeping into the suburbs as two high-end retailers were hit by groups of thieves this week.
Granthshala 32 Chicago informed of Seven to eight men stole multiple wallets from Bloomingdale’s store at the Westfield Old Orchard Mall in Skokie, about 15 miles north of Chicago.

Cellphone footage captured the incident, with hooded men running toward the exit with luggage. They were gone by the time the police arrived.
According to local police, no one is in custody and the incident is still being investigated.
On Tuesday evening, another store hit, this time in Louis Vuitton at the Northbrook Court Mall in Northbrook, just ten miles north of Skokie.

The incident was also captured on cellphone video, in which at least eight persons were seen running out of the store with purses and what appeared to be a mall security officer following.
It is unknown whether there was also a thief behind the Bloomingdale’s robbery behind the Louis Vuitton incident.

The video shows at least three criminals wearing masks as they stuff beauty products into black bags.

Other customers can be seen milling in the background not interfering in the ongoing robbery. A high-pitched security alarm can be heard overhead.
At Ulta Beauty, the safety of our associates and guests is our top priority, Eileen Zissmer, vice president of public relations for Ulta, told Granthshala News. “We are aware of criminal activity at our Norridge store over the weekend and are cooperating fully with local police as they investigate.”
