A TV insider told SunAbout Rachel: ‘She has brought with her a huge fan following from her days at S Club 7 and as an artist in her own right.

‘Plus Rachel looks amazing and will look absolutely sensational on ice – plus she has dance experience both in her pop career and beyond.’

The Reach hitmaker has already tried her hand at dancing, competing for an impressive second place finish during the 2008 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Prior to an episode of “Strictly Curse,” she postponed her marriage to Alex Bourne during her stint on the show — though they married a year later and now share daughters Emily, 10, and Minnie, six.

It marks Regan’s reality show debut, after seeing his sister Bianca currently participate in Celebrity Big Brother, Love Island and Italy’s Dancing with the Stars.

A TV insider told Sun: ‘She’s also a dancer, and that shows how the ITV show is taking the dance choreography side of the show more seriously, rather than being able to master skating.’

Representatives for Regan and Rachel have been contacted for comment by MailOnline, with a Dancing on Ice spokesperson declined to comment.

Asked if she has skated before, Sally said: ‘No, never! I went with Hattie [her daughter] I had a penguin when she was little and I thought it was too hard so I go get coffee!’
