Jones is still recovering from a neck strain suffered during last week’s win over the Eagles. He has not been cleared for contact.

The judge, who maintained the quarterback’s injury is not season-ending, said Jones would still travel to Miami with the team.

Mike Glennon will replace Jones against Miami. The veteran quarterback, who turns 32 this month, went 0-5 as a starter for the Jaguars in 2020.

Glennon’s only action this season came when Jones suffered an injury against the Cowboys, completing 25 of 16 passes for 196 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in a 44–20 loss.

On Wednesday, the Giants signed quarterback Jake Froome from the Bills’ practice squad. He completed 21 of 36 passes for 172 yards in the 2021 preseason, before being released by Buffalo on August 31.

Fromm, a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, was inactive throughout his rookie season.
