BAZ Luhrmann made an incredibly youthful appearance last night attending the AACTA Awards in Sydney, Australia.

The 59-year-old Australian director watched the world break away from his earlier more rugged self as he walked the red carpet in a stylish black suit, white buttonless shirt and a silky neckerchief.

The Romeo + Juliet filmmaker’s chic outfit wasn’t just the thing that turned heads, but was her wrinkle-free complexion.

The director of The Great Gatsby nailed her new look by styling gray hair off her face and sporting a groomed mustache.

Baz rose to fame in 1992 with the hit film Strictly Ballroom, before moving on to direct his own retelling of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo + Juliet in 1996.

The filmmaker has also directed Golden Globe winner Moulin Rouge alongside Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.

He then reunited with Nicole, 54, seven years later, for the cinematic epic Australia with Hugh Jackman.

The director last released The Great Gatsby in 2013 and is currently promoting his upcoming Elvis biopic.

Baz recently wrapped up shooting for his upcoming Elvis biopic, the shooting of which began in January last year in the Gold Coast.

The cinema visionary was born Mark Luhrmann on 17 September 1962 in Sydney.

After earning the surname from his father, he changed his name to Baz in 1979.

Baz’s mother was a ballroom dance teacher and dress shop owner, and his father ran a petrol station and movie theater.

He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture for Moulin Rouge! And he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture.
