Disturbing moment ‘phone thief’ is tied to a pole and flogged by Taliban

A video has surfaced of a man being thrashed by Taliban thugs for stealing a mobile phone.

In the footage, the man can be heard screaming in agony as he is seen as a crowd tied to a pole in Kabul.

The video is doing the rounds on the social media accounts linked to the opposition and it seems to have been shot over the weekend.


This comes as the Taliban begin to impose their distorted interpretation of Islam.

Their regime is similar to the brutal way the militants previously ran ‘Afghanistan’, which saw executions, floggings, amputations and subjugation of women.

The alleged thief can be seen tied to a traffic sign in footage outside the Ministry of Education in Kabul.

He is lashed and kicked, groaning-tattling–cramping——- as he descends on it and buckles a traffic sign.

At one point the cables are handed over to those who are being punished for being used on the man.

When they seized power after a mild victory, the Taliban tried to assure that they had softened their views.

But there have been disturbing glimpses of what the future holds for the country.

There have been reports that the Taliban are killing Afghans on the streets and shooting their bodies and hanging their victims.

The country’s new education ministry said schools for men would open from Saturday after a month-long shutdown.
