Dominic Raab says he was threatened with acid attack

Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Rabo has revealed that he was recently threatened with an acid attack and has received multiple death threats over the past two years.

Mr Raab said he had received three threats to his life over the past two years, which resulted in police intervention.

“I’m happy to see any workable solution, but the reality is people will bully you with something else,” he told ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

“The most recent threat to me was someone threatening to throw acid at me.”

He said there was an “interference” regarding the threat.

Hours after Sir David’s murder, a man was arrested for threatening to kill Labor MP Chris Bryant.

Ronda MP Mr Bryant said he had received threats after the death on Friday called on people to be kind.

South Wales Police said a 76-year-old man from Pontisheimer in Bridgend County was arrested on suspicion of malicious communication.

Under the government’s new online harms bill, social media and tech companies will have to pay fines for not removing harmful content posted online. Home Secretary Priti Patel has also suggested that companies may also be forced to stop users from setting up anonymous social media accounts.

Mr Bryant, who claimed he faced abuse every year as an MP, said: “I came back on Saturday and the first message in my inbox was it was a death threat, very clear, so I informed the police. and they have taken action. “
