Detroit Police say couple killed He was targeted by gunmen in a double shooting at a gas station on Monday night when they opened fire on him while sitting in his car.

Police have not released information on a motive, saying only that the couple was targeted.

White released details of the two suspects, both slim black men. He said one of the men was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red stripe, black sweatpants with a red stripe and dark colored shoes. The other person was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, black sweatpants with a white stripe, and light-colored shoes.

White said detectives are working on the investigation round-the-clock and asking anyone in the community to come forward by calling Detroit Police or Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEC-UP.

Both Benson’s mother and her uncle were shocked by the news. He described the couple as really nice people who cared about their kids and focused on bringing them up in the right way.

Apart from the video footage, investigators hope that the photographs released by the police will help in getting the two men into custody soon.

Both were wearing black hoodies with black pants. One of the suspects may also have red stripes or detailing under his pants.
