Drake announced Thursday that the Young Money reunion concert in Toronto has been canceled on Saturday after he tested positive for COVID-19 and some fans There were mixed reactions at short notice.

The Toronto-based artist was set to perform with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj before the positive test result. The show on the Budweiser Stage was to conclude Drake’s three-day OVO Fest concert in Toronto.

In a post on Instagram, Drake says he has since tested negative and that everyone is going back to town to do so.

Their postponement was the latest in a series of cancellations among Toronto residents and a summer of live music.

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber canceled several shows in Toronto in June due to illness. Toronto-born artist The Weeknd postponed a stop in his hometown during a world tour in early July due to the Rogers outage. Later in the month, Shawn Mendes and the New Kids on the Block also canceled shows at the Scotiabank Arena.

Some were thrilled about the quick rescheduling, while others complained about the short notice, which is happening in the city on a summer Saturday in August.

On the same night Lady Gaga is set to perform at the Rogers Center, Dabi has scheduled back-to-back shows at Cabana Pool Bar and Rebel Nightclub. Nigerian singer Burna Boy set to perform at Markham Fairgrounds and will watch BMO Field Toronto Argonauts face off Hamilton against the Tiger-Cats.
