Dua Lipa’s team to pick the UK’s entry for Eurovision 2022

The move comes after the UK’s James Newman scored zero points at Eurovision 2021

Dua Lipa’s management team is on hand to help select the UK entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

The move comes after Britain finished last in this year’s competition, with James Newman failing to score a single point with his song ‘Ambers’.

Plans are already underway for next year’s Eurovision, which is scheduled to take place on May 14, 2022 in Turin, Italy.


TAP Music, the global music publishing and management company behind the likes of Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding, will collaborate with the BBC to choose and star in a song to represent the UK at Eurovision next year.

“Our love for Eurovision in the UK is as big as ever and we have grand ambitions for the 2022 contest, so we are really excited to announce this collaboration that will enable us to tap into some great musical talent.” Kate Phillips, controller of the BBC’s entertainment commission, said in a statement.

Ben Mawson of TAP Music said: “We are really excited to be partnering with the BBC for this event and will be using Eurovision to reflect and celebrate the authentically rich, diverse and world-class musical talent for which the UK is world-class. The level is famous.”

Dua Lipa told Sun That “I am a proud Kosovan as well as a proud British. I am happy to lend my manager for this purpose. I will cheer him up!”


Elsewhere, this year’s Eurovision winner Menaskin shared the violent new video for his latest single, ‘Mamamiya,’ earlier this week.
