‘DWTS’ pro Cheryl Burke tests positive for COVID, tearfully apologizes to dance partner Cody Rigsby

“dancing with the Stars” Supporter Cheryl Burke, partnered with Peloton Instructor Cody Rigsby, has tested positive for a successful case of COVID-19, he announced in a tearful video on Sunday.

“I have really bad news: I’m positive, which means I have COVID,” Burke, 37, told followers on Instagram. Video Uploaded Sunday evening. “I just got the news and I’ve been just waiting since 7 a.m. today.”

Holding back tears, Burke said she “just feels so bad” for Rigsby and was overwhelmed with test results coming in, just a day before the set for a live competition show to tape a new episode on Monday. The dancer who received the Moderna vaccine said she would have to stay at home for 10 days, per CDC Guidelines For vaccinated people who test positive.

Burke said, “Not only do I feel scared and missing words, I feel a little run-of-the-mill. And I feel really sad, because I don’t want to disappoint Cody.” “Our odd salsa was great.”

The dancer received support on social media from fans and fellow “DWTS” contestants, including “The Talk” co-host Amanda Kloots and country singer Jimmy Allen. Rigsby has yet to comment publicly.

“It’s definitely given me some skills,” he said. “I have a rhythm most of the time.”
