Porsche’s first electric car is outperforming Tesla
Porsche is moving away from Tesla, but the race has just begun.
The German automaker’s electric Taycan model line outperformed the Tesla Model S and X by a two-to-one margin during the first three quarters of 2021, seeing a 13% increase in the brand’s overall sales.
Porsche gave 28,640 texas, which are offered as a sedan and wagon, compared to the 13,185 Tesla Model S sedans and Model X SUVs bundled together globally, Tesla reports.

The Taycan has already passed its full-year 2020 result of 20,015 and outclassed another important model: the Porsche 911.
Porsche sold 27,972 of its iconic sports cars during this period, up 10% over the previous year. The Taycan also sold the 911 for US 7,228 to US 6,729.
