A large elephant violently killed a crocodile in front of a safari group in Zambia in August.

Tourist Hans Heinrich Hahr captured the moment the elephant began to grab and stamp the crocodile before wagging its tail.

The crocodile, which appears to be eight to ten feet long, burrows into the shallow water as the elephant continues to gnaw on it.

A minute later, the elephant mother releases the little hunter out of the water with her tail.

The crocodile remains motionless during the end of the attack – suggesting that it has been mortally wounded or that it is dead.

“Guests witnessed this dramatic scene between two of Africa’s most dangerous mega-creatures,” a worker at Baines River Camp said on his Facebook page.

“Perhaps it was a vengeance attack, caused by several crocodile attempts to ambush its young or large flock.

“Whatever it was, this cow was here with only one intention.”

Thay said: “While this footage can be difficult to watch, it shows how raw and difficult life is in the bush.”

This is not the first time two poachers have been found attacking each other.

In 2019, a dead elephant was found on top of a crushed crocodile after a brutal fight to the death.

A dying elephant had fallen during an encounter and crushed a crocodile which killed both of them.

A chilling photo shows the flattened crocodile’s snout and legs sticking out from under the bulk of the elephant’s body.

Parts of the dead elephant’s head were eaten by the scavengers.
