EMMERDALE’s Lucy Pargeter is hiding an incredibly secret past as a popstar.
The actress, 44, — who plays pub mistress Chas Dingle on the ITV soap — didn’t always have to be one of the country’s favorite soap stars, instead trying to rise to fame as a popstar first.
“I was once in a pop band supporting Boyzone,” she told Women’s magazine.
“It was back in the late ’90s and we were called Pepperdolls.
“It was a laugh. We left thinking we were just some girls getting together and doing some songs, being signed to a record label and touring.
“It was a great time.”
Unfortunately the band didn’t really have any success.
His debut single Gonna Make You Blush was released in 1998, but failed to make an impression, let anyone blush.
It went limp in the charts, dropping the top 40 significantly.
Despite touring with Boyzone, the band hung around for a few years before splitting up and going their separate ways.
Fortunately this inspired Lucy to cast her as Chas in Emmerdale, a role she has played since 2002.
