Chappelle makes special references in his new Netflix stand-up near, which included voicing their support for harry potter Author JK Rowling.

“They canceled JK Rowling – My God,” Chappelle said on the show. “Effectively, she said gender was a fact, the trans community went crazy as bullshit, they started calling her TERF.”

He continued: “I’m TEAM TERF. I agree. I agree, man. Gender is a fact.”

Within the special, Chappelle also misjudges Dorman, with whom she was friends, while discussing her suicide.

However, in a text message daily animal, Dorman’s sister wrote: “Daphne was amazed by Dave’s grace. She found his jokes rude, crude, off-kilter, off-putting, nothing at all. She thought his jokes were funny. Daphne understood humor and humor – She was not angry. Why would her family be angry?”

Her other sister, Brandi, dubbed Chappell an “LGBTQ ally”. However, Chappelle’s comments caused a backlash from an LGBTQ rights group.

“Dave Chappelle’s brand has become synonymous with ridiculing trans people and other marginalized communities,” wrote the group GLAAD on twitter.

“With negative reviews and viewers strongly condemning their latest special, it is a message to the industry that viewers do not support platforming anti-LGBTQ diatribes. We agree.”

Meanwhile, David Johns, executive director of The National Black Justice Coalition, called Netflix and demanded that the platform remove the stand-up special.

“It is extremely disappointing that Netflix allowed Dave Chappelle’s lazy and hostile transphobia and homophobia to be broadcast on its platform,” Johns said in a statement. time limit.
