Dr. Anthony Fauci gave a message to Americans on Wednesday – urging the novel to “vaccinate” against coronaviruses when they become eligible.

“When it’s your turn to get vaccinated, get vaccinated,” Fauci said.

“It’s not only good for you, and good for your family and your community,” he continued. “It will have a very significant impact on the dynamics of the outbreak in our country.”

The White House announced on Wednesday that the US now averages 1.7 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, up from 900,000 shots per day on average a month earlier. The latest data shows an increase of 200,000 doses the week before.

The Biden administration set a goal of achieving 100 million vaccinations within the first 100 days in the president’s office, with current data indicating a pace that would exceed that goal.

The White House also announced this week that the Biden administration is increasing its vaccine supply to 13.5 million doses per week to the states – the White House had announced an increase of 10 million doses per week.
