MIAMI – FBI agents were involved in a shooting as they were serving a warrant in South Florida on Tuesday morning, a spokesman for the police department in Sunrise, Fla., Said.
Police spokeswoman Otisha Browning-Smith said the shooting occurred just after 6 a.m. when agents were serving warrants at an apartment complex in the city of Sunrise, just west of Fort Lauderdale.
She The said shots were fired and paramedics were called inside. The extent of any injuries or fatalities was not immediately clear. The FBI’s Miami Field Office did not immediately respond to an investigation.
Ms Browning-Smith said a person had barricaded herself inside the complex.
