After taking the microphone from the governor, the first lady said, “I heard you should probably leave when you stand before you walk in the door.”

The first lady said there are many things to be upset and sad about when it comes to the direction of the country, but added that she “definitely wasn’t giving up as hell.”

“Never ever give up a fight,” the first lady continued to cheer from the crowd.

The governor announced earlier this month that his 41-year-old wife had been diagnosed with breast cancer, saying he would get the full support of his family as he faced the challenge.

“I am sad to report that the Honorable First Lady of Florida and my beloved wife have been diagnosed with breast cancer,” the governor said in a statement.

“Casey is a true fighter, and she will never, ever give up,” said the governor.

“As the mother of three young children, Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as First Lady. As she faces the most difficult test of her life “He will not only have my unwavering support, but the support of our entire family, as well as prayers and well wishes from Floridians across our state. Casey is a true fighter, and he will never give up,” he concluded.
