According to reports, the sister of a suspected accused broke into a Florida home on Wednesday night and unbuttoned his shorts while a family was sleeping, helping to identify him ahead of his arrest late Thursday.

Thomas Marnets, 52, was arrested after he allegedly ran away from home in Holiday, Florida.

Granthshala 13 of Tampa Bay reported that his sister and several others had sent suggestions to police based on home surveillance videos of the alleged break-in, which were made public. His employer also sent in a tip.

Detectives find Marnet at a motel and arrest him for burglary but he denies stealing anything from the house. Officials said that he was wearing the same clothes as in the video.

Marnett allegedly walked into the bedroom of a 9-year-old girl in the house, walked outside and unbuttoned her shorts, then walked in again, the video shows.

Florida man broke into the house and entered the girl’s room, police said

The girl’s parents, Jacqueline Isinga and Daniel Rolls, were woken by their dog and the suspect fled without staring at them.

Rolls said he pursued the suspect but was not able to catch him.

He said, “I went and saw that my garage door was open, the door next to me was broken and my gate was open. I just walked around my house and didn’t see anyone outside. I came back inside And I called 911.” “It gives me goosebumps, man. It’s supposed to be a safe place, and this guy is spying around my kids and family in my house.”

Isinga told Granthshala 13 She could not get this incident out of her head.

“Thinking about all of you I’m so grateful that was all there,” she said. “I mean, it’s terrible to say because it’s still bad. But my daughter could have been carried away. My daughter could have been assaulted. It could have been a lot worse.”
